Questions Regarding the RFP for Strategic Planning
Question: What does GLSP most hope to gain from this strategic planning process beyond the final deliverable? For example, alignment, culture shift, new capabilities, or stronger stakeholder engagement?
Response: We hope to emerge from the process with a plan to guide the focus of our work, while remaining flexible enough to respond to shifts in the funding, regulatory, and community landscapes in which we work. We also hope the document will support consistency and alignment between our geographically- and structurally-diverse offices and programs, supporting our efforts to develop GLSP as a statewide law firm.
Question: Are there specific strategic priorities or organizational opportunities that GLSP leadership or the board have already identified as important to address in the upcoming plan?
Response: In recent months, our leadership has repeatedly encountered opportunities and requests to consider service delivery models that may not fit “traditional” ways of delivering legal services but could be important vehicles for delivering services to our clients (brief advice lines, medical legal partnerships and other community embedded models, centralized substantive experts supporting regional efforts throughout the state, outreach paralegals, and others). Rather than rush forward with any of these models, we have chosen to defer discussions until after a more thoroughly considered planning process to help guide those conversations.
